Rare among animals, baboons have lasting friendships as males and females form close bands by spending much time together feeding, resting, grooming and copulating. But baboons are promiscous. When they are in the mood, males and females usually mate with several members of the opposite sex within a short period of time. Male competition for dominance is determined by fighting ability, age and size.

The mouth of the White Rhino is very wide, flat fronted and set low over the chin. The rhino prefers short grass areas and seasonal movements to avoid waterlogged long grass as habitat. They can live 30 to 40 year and are categorized as critically endangered.

Baboons are omnivorous, which means, that they will eat almost anything. Since they eat what humans eat, baboons love to grab our food. As they are quite intelligent, baboons can often be sneaky pests.

Nilkrokodil

The Nile crocodile is the largest reptile on earth, reaching a total length of 6.5 metres and weighing as much as one tonne! With its long powerful jaws and prominent teeth, a crocodile can break the bones of even the largest land animals. Adapted to grab and hold prey but not to chew, a crocodile has about 66 peg like teeth. Menacing eyes and valved nostrils are located on the top of the head and jaws, perfect for sneaking up on unsuspecting prey.
On hot days crocodiles gather ashore to bask. With their mouths wide open as huge happy smiles, excess body heat evaporates keeping them warm. During their sunbathing rituals, the spur wing plover or ohter birds hamper crocodies with a teeth cleaning service by daringly pecking pieces of meat from between crocodile teeth.
